Our Story

Food should fuel your body, support your health, and strengthen your connection to the community around you.

From this idea our journey began…

The Founder:

Urban Earth was founded by Joe, a former software engineer who decided to leave behind the fluorescent corporate world in search of something more meaningful.

After years spent working behind screens and inside office walls, he realized he wanted to build something tangible. Something rooted in health, sustainability, and positive impact.

The Idea:

Ultimately, that led him to Microgreens. Small greens packed with intense flavor, freshness, and nutritional value!

The more he learned about them, the more convinced he became that locally grown, responsibly produced food could play an important role in helping people live healthier lives while also strengthening connections within the community.

The Plan:

Knowing he would need a dedicated space to grow consistent high-quality Microgreens, Joe and his dad got to work building the operations facility.

Together, they turned the vision into reality, designing and constructing a controlled indoor growing environment by hand. Reflecting many of the values Urban Earth was founded on: hard work, craftsmanship, and creating something meaningful together.

The Product:

The Urban Earth grow house allows every tray to be sustainably grown with careful attention to freshness, flavor and nutrition.

From sunflower and pea shoots to broccoli and radish, our goal is to provide vibrant, nutrient-dense Microgreens always grown with integrity and care.
